Today’s One Year Bible Verses: Job 28:1–30:31; 2 Corinthians 2:12–17; Psalm 42:1–11; Proverbs 22:7
Today we see both Job and David grappling with their hardships, but David said something that is key to our lives and the hardships we will face: “Now I am deeply discouraged, but I will remember You—.” (Psalm 42:6, NLT) We must remember the things God has done for us and never let anyone or anything make us believe He is anything other than a good, loving Father.
He sees everything, and nothing is hidden from Him, and He has a design and purpose in everything He does. When we don’t understand, who will we ask? Where will we go? God is the only source of true wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. When we go to Him, He will answer us! He will give us His love and wisdom to get us through.
All we have to do is take the time to seek Him, pray for His help, strength, guidance or understanding. He wants to commune with you. He wants to be your comfort and peace. Remember that even though you may “hear the tumult of the raging tides as Your (God’s) waves and surging tides sweep over me,” (Psalm 42:7, NLT) we will not be discouraged or despair, because “each day the Lord pours His unfailing love upon me.” (Psalm 42:8, NLT) Praise God! Thank You, Lord, for Your amazing love and grace! Amen!
