Today’s One Year Bible Verses: Job 31:1–33:33; 2 Corinthians 3:1–18; Psalm 43:1–5; Proverbs 22:8–9
We read a lot about justice today, both with Job and David. Both were upright and hoped for justice to be rendered in their favor -one because of their works, the other by faith in Jesus. Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 3 that because of Jesus Christ the old covenant of the law has been replaced by the new covenant of the Spirit. It is no longer our works of the law—which we will always fall short of—but now our faith in Jesus Christ.
“And the veil can be removed only by believing in Christ… But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. So all who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.” (2 Corinthians 3:14–18, NLT)
Hallelujah! Thank You, Lord, for removing the veil, granting us full access to the throne of God, and opening our eyes and hearts. Thank You for granting us freedom and making us more like You! We praise You, Lord! I pray that we will reflect Your glory this day as we become more and more like You, because we are being changed by Your amazing Spirit that dwells within us. May we be Your light in this world today! Amen! ❤️🕯️🔥
Action (5 minutes)
Turn & Reflect:
Whisper, “Jesus, I turn to You,” then read 2 Corinthians 3:16–18 aloud. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you one place you’ve been relying on your own effort. Surrender it, and text 2 Corinthians 3:17 (“…there is freedom”) to someone who needs hope today.
Short Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for removing the veil. I turn to You—free me by Your Spirit and transform me to reflect Your glory today. Tell me what You want me to know about this word today and what you want me to do. Amen.
