Today’s One Year Bible Verses: Job 37:1–39:30; 2 Corinthians 4:13–5:10; Psalm 44:9–26; Proverbs 22:13

Today I realized how amazing God really is! He is and does things so far beyond what I can even imagine. We are but one small part of His vast creation. But we are not meaningless or worthless. In fact, we have great value and purpose. We can be like the horse God talks about in Job 39:19–25 (NLT).

God has clothed us with great strength and beauty. When we become part of His guard, He gives us the ability to move beyond what we think is possible. We will rejoice in the strength and power He gives. We will laugh at fear and charge forward in the mission He assigns us (Job 39:22, 24). When we are ready, His call will be loud and clear—like a trumpet blast! (Job 39:25) We will sense the greatness in our future and will quiver with holy anticipation as we excitedly obey our Captain’s command. Nothing and no one can stop us, and we will see the victory when we are in the Lord’s army!

Choose the Lord today! Let Him train you, bridle you, and clothe you in His majesty and power. Let Him fill you with purpose and excitement about what He is creating you to do. Then follow the commands of your Captain and watch fearlessly as your victory unfolds around you! Hallelujah and Amen!

Trumpet Drill:
Read Job 39:19–25 aloud. Ask, “Lord, what order are You giving me today?” Write one specific step of obedience. Stand up, say, “At Your call I will charge,” and do the step before the day ends.

Short Prayer

Captain of Hosts, clothe me with Your strength and steady my heart. Teach me to laugh at fear as you show me my true identity in You. Give me the courage and understanding to obey quickly when You call. Lead me to the victory You’ve prepared. Amen.
