Todays One Year Bible Verses: Isaiah 41:17-43:13, Ephesians 2:1-22, Psalm 67:1-7, Proverbs 23:29-35
Amazing Grace
“Amazing grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me! I once was lost but now I’m found, was blind but now I see.”
Once I was dead because of my disobedience and many sins. I was just like those Paul talks about today. He reminds us: “All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature we were subject to God’s anger, just like everyone else. But God is so rich in mercy, and He loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, He gave us life when He raised Christ from the dead. It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved” (Ephesians 2:1–5, NLT).
I must witness today of my amazing God who chose me and holds me in His hand. In the misery of my sin, I cried out — and He heard me. He stepped in like a mighty hero, crushed my enemies, and carried me to safety. There is no other God like Him! No other power in heaven or on earth compares to my Living God, King Jesus.
I tremble to think what might have been if I had chosen the path of rebellion described in Isaiah: “You see and recognize what is right but refuse to act on it. You hear with your ears, but you don’t really listen.… They were enveloped in flames, but they still refused to understand. They were consumed by fire, but they did not learn their lesson” (Isaiah 42:20, 25, NLT).
So listen, all people of the earth! Hear this plea today: there is a better way — a way of life and salvation, joy and peace! No one has to remain in despair. God offers the most glorious gift: a Savior who will come and save you if you let Him. Jesus traded His life for yours and declares, “You are precious to Me. You are honored, and I love you” (Isaiah 43:4, NLT).
Paul writes, “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago” (Ephesians 2:10, NLT). Jesus ransomed you and called you by name. The question is — will you accept this most wonderful gift?
Action (5 Minutes with God)
- Meditate on the Lord’s words: “You are precious, you are honored, and I love you.”
- Then ask Him, “Lord what do you want me to know about this today?”
- Write what He whispers to you and cherish it throughout your day.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for Your amazing grace that saved me when I was lost and dead in sin. You heard my cry, rescued me, and carried me to safety. You call me precious, honored, and loved — and I believe You. Teach me to let go and find rest in You. May my life be a testimony that brings glory to Your name. Amen.
