Today’s One Year Bible Verses: Jeremiah 4:19-6:15, Colossians 1:18-2:7, Psalm 77:1-20, Proverbs 24:23-25
Jesus Is The Greatest Gem!
“All things have been reconciled to God through Christ” (Colossians 1:20, NLT). Not only the heavens and the earth, but you and me. Paul says, “As a result, He has brought you into His own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before Him without a single fault” (Colossians 1:22, NLT).
What an honor! What a privilege! Yet here’s the challenge: “You must continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it. Don’t drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News” (Colossians 1:23, NLT). The drift is real. Doubts, lies, and false teachings try to erode this simple, glorious truth: Christ lives in you (Colossians 1:27, NLT).
This was the great mystery hidden for centuries—but now revealed. And it changes everything. If Christ lives in us, then His Kingdom is already within us. We have complete access to Him right now—His power, His authority, His glory – right now! Not just hope for tomorrow, but living reality today.
When we walk with Him daily—listening for His voice, seeing His hand at work, talking with Him as our constant companion—our faith shifts from hopeful wishing to experiential knowing. “In Him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Colossians 2:3, NLT). These treasures are the Gems of Knowledge He shares with us, divine adornments of godly character, wisdom, and eternal riches that we will carry with us into eternity.
Years ago, the Lord told me to draw a heart with a diamond inside and keep it with me as a reminder: “This is where I live and guide you.” Later He revealed Gems of Knowledge, and I understood—the greatest gem of all is this mystery: “Christ lives in you” (Colossians 1:27). That’s why my logo is a heart with a diamond. It’s the treasure of His presence within us.

And when you’ve tasted His goodness, you can’t keep it to yourself. “So we tell others about Christ, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all the wisdom God has given us” (Colossians 1:28, NLT). It’s simple, not complicated: Believe in Him. He is enough. In fact—He is everything.
As the psalmist declares: “O God, your ways are holy. Is there any god as mighty as You? You are the God of great wonders! You demonstrate Your awesome power among the nations” (Psalm 77:13–14, NLT).
Action (5 Minutes with God)
Take 5 minutes today to simply sit in His presence. Whisper this truth out loud: “Christ lives in me.” Repeat it slowly. Let it move from your lips into your mind, then into your heart until it becomes more than words—it becomes reality.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for reconciling me to the Father and bringing me into Your very presence. Help me to believe this truth firmly and never drift from it. Teach me daily that Christ lives in me. Reveal Your treasures of wisdom and knowledge, and let my life overflow with joy and truth that draws others to You. You are enough, Lord. You are everything. Amen.
