Healing the Incurable Wound | God’s Promise

Today’s One Year Bible Verses: Jeremiah 30:1-31:26, 1 Timothy 2:1-15, Psalm 87:1-7, Proverbs 25:18-19

Come Home, My Beloved Child

“Tears of joy will stream down their faces, and I will lead them home with great care.”Jeremiah 31:9 NLT

Do you carry a heart wound so deep it feels incurable?
Do you grieve with bitter weeping, wondering if joy could ever visit you again?

You are not alone in that pain. But you need to know something vital—God is not your enemy. He’s not the one who hurt you. In fact, He’s the only One who can truly heal you.

“They will come home and sing songs of joy… They will be radiant because of the Lord’s good gifts… all their sorrows will be gone.”
Jeremiah 31:12–13 NLT

Many turn away from God after being wounded by people. But God isn’t the one who failed you—He’s the One waiting to restore you. Like a loving Father, He watches the horizon, longing for His child to return.

“Is not Israel still my son, my darling child?… I long for him and will surely have mercy on him.”
Jeremiah 31:20 NLT

Even we as earthly parents want to give good gifts to our children. How much more does your Heavenly Father long to give good gifts to you… if you’ll let Him?

So let me ask you, as the Lord once asked His people:

“How long will you wander?”Jeremiah 31:22 NLT

How long will you suffer alone in silence, angry or distant from the only One who can truly mend your heart? How long will you withhold trust from the only hands that were pierced to prove His love?

“God wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator… the man Christ Jesus. He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone.”
1 Timothy 2:4–6 NLT

He didn’t just die for the world. He died for you. He’d do it again—just to have you back home, healed and whole, wrapped safely in His arms.

People will let you down.

“Putting confidence in an unreliable person in times of trouble is like chewing with a broken tooth.”Proverbs 25:19 NLT

But God? He never fails. He’s not like the ones who broke your heart.

He’s the One who can heal it. Give Him a chance – I promise He wont let you down. 💎

Action: 5 Minutes with God

Find a quiet space. Let the walls down. Bring your pain to Him—raw, unfiltered, and real. Say out loud:

“Jesus, I’ve been hurt… will you help me?”

Let Him lead you—with great care. Journal anything He whispers to you as you begin to feel His loving presence surround you.

Prayer

Father,
I’ve carried this pain for so long that I forgot how to hope. But today I turn to You, not away. Heal my wounds. Restore my joy. I want to trust You, not because life has been easy—but because You are faithful, and You are good. Help me to know this and feel this truth through my pain. Lead me home. I want to walk with You and know of Your goodness. I want to have joy and peace that only You can give. I surrender, Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
