Everyday Ambassador: Living as a Reflection of Christ in Daily Life

Today’s One Year Bible Verses: Jeremiah 31:27-32:44, 1 Timothy 3:1-16,Psalm 88:1-18, Proverbs 25:20-22

What We Do Matters

“And I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will never stop doing good for them. I will put a desire in their hearts to worship me, and they will never leave me. I will find joy doing good for them and will faithfully and wholeheartedly replant them in this land.”Jeremiah 32:40–41 NLT

God’s love is not halfhearted—it’s eternal, steadfast, and deliberate. He has made an everlasting covenant with His people and sealed it with His own joy. He promises: “I will never stop doing good for them.”

If He is so faithful toward us, how much more should we be faithful toward Him? Every action we take—every word we speak—represents the covenant we’re part of. We don’t just wear His name; we carry His reputation into the world.

Paul reminds us in 1 Timothy 3 that those who lead in the faith must live “above reproach,” but that principle extends to every believer who bears the name of Christ. “They must be well respected by others and have a good reputation…” (1 Timothy 3:7 NLT). When we choose honesty, humility, and love—we reflect His heart. When we live carelessly, we misrepresent Him to those still searching for truth.

Our lives are living sermons. We preach Christ not only by our words but by our actions, our tone, our patience, and our response to pain. Proverbs reminds us that the way we treat others—even our enemies—matters to God:

“If your enemies are hungry, give them food to eat. If they are thirsty, give them water to drink. You will heap burning coals of shame on their heads, and the Lord will reward you.”Proverbs 25:21–22 NLT

In other words, when we respond with mercy instead of malice, with grace instead of gossip, heaven takes notice. We’re representing the heart of the One who “finds joy in doing good” to us.

God takes delight in His faithfulness—do we take delight in reflecting it? 💎

Action (5 Minutes with God)

Take five quiet minutes today and ask the Holy Spirit:

  1. “What do you want me to know about this today?”
    • Journal what He whispers through the Holy Spirit.
  2. Then ask, “What do you want me to do, Lord?”
    • Journal what He whispers then do it!

Let His presence and joy invite you deeper into obedience and understanding. He is so good!

Prayer

Lord, Thank You for making an everlasting covenant with me—for never stopping Your goodness, even when I fail You. Help me represent You well in everything I do. Help me to always uphold my covenant with You and remember Your unfailing love for me, even in the hard times. Let my choices reflect Your love and my words carry Your truth. Teach me to live in such a way that when people see me, they see You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
