Today’s One Year Bible Verses: Malachi 1:1-2:17, Revelation 21:1-27, Psalm 149:1-9, Proverbs 31:10-24
Faithful Until The End
When I asked the Lord what He wanted me to share today, He said:
“The sea of glass that divides us will be taken away, and all that will be left are the faithful. Be faithful to Me as I am faithful to you.”
In Revelation 21:1, John writes, “I saw a new heaven and a new earth… and the sea was also gone.”
This may be more than the physical oceans of the earth. It may point to something deeper—the sea of glass described earlier in Revelation, the great divide between humanity and the throne of God. A barrier that, for now, can only be crossed with Jesus.
If that sea is gone, then the separation is gone. We are no longer approaching God—we are with Him. This is exactly what Revelation 21 describes: God dwelling fully and permanently with His faithful people.
Faithfulness, then, is not a small thing. It is covenant.
In Malachi 2, the Lord speaks of faithfulness in both spiritual and earthly terms. He addresses broken covenants—between God and His people, and between husband and wife. These are not separate issues. True faith in God produces righteous living. When we are faithful to Him, our lives reflect it in how we love, commit, and walk with others.
God reminds us of His covenant: “to bring life and peace” (Malachi 2:5).
But covenant requires response. The Lord lists what faithfulness looks like:
- Reverence for His name
- Teaching truth
- Living honestly
- Walking closely with Him
- Turning away from sin
(Malachi 2:5–6)
As His people—His priests, His messengers, His Bride—our lives are meant to preserve the knowledge of God. “People should go to you for instruction,” the Lord says, so that others do not stumble (Malachi 2:7).
Revelation 21:27 brings this all into focus:
“Nothing evil will be allowed to enter… but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.”
Faithfulness is not about perfection. It is about covenant loyalty—staying, honoring, returning, and walking with God. When we do, the promise is sure: the sea will be gone, the divide removed, and we will dwell fully in His presence forever.
He has been faithful to us.
Now He asks us to be faithful to Him. 💎
Action (5 Minutes with God)
Take five intentional minutes with the Lord today.
Ask Him:
“Lord, where are You calling me to greater faithfulness?”
Then ask:
“Is there any place in my life where I have allowed distance, compromise, or distraction to divide me from You?”
Sit with Him. Don’t rush. Faithfulness grows in nearness. Let today be a day of renewed covenant—choosing to stay, to honor, and to walk closely with Him.
Prayer
Faithful God,
You have never wavered in Your love or Your promises toward me. Thank You for calling me into covenant with You—not as a burden, but as an invitation to life and peace. Teach me to walk faithfully with You in reverence, truth, and obedience. Remove anything in my heart that creates distance between us. I choose You again today. Write my name firmly in the Lamb’s Book of Life, and help my life reflect the faithfulness You have shown me. Amen.
