You Will Find Him There
In Exodus 29, God established the daily morning and evening sacrifice. These offerings were not meant to be occasional or convenient. They were continual—day after day, morning and night. And then God made a promise:
“I will meet you there.” (Exodus 29:42)
The Creator of heaven and earth chose a place and said, “If you will come, I will come.”
This meeting place was not just about ritual. Along with the sacrifice, God required a lamb, bread, and wine. Each part pointed forward to Jesus. The lamb represented the sacrifice that would take away sin. The bread represented life and daily provision. The wine represented covenant relationship and fellowship. Together, they revealed God’s plan—salvation, sustenance, and relationship through His Son. Every morning and evening, God was pointing His people toward the day when Jesus would become their Lamb, their Bread of Life, and their eternal covenant.
It was never about religion – it was about relationship.
God went on to say:
“I will consecrate the Tent of Meeting… and I will consecrate the priests.” (Exodus 29:44)
His presence made the place holy. His presence made the people holy. Not effort. Not perfection. Not performance. Presence.
Then He promised:
“I will live among them and be their God.” (Exodus 29:45)
God was creating space to dwell with His people continually—so they would know Him and walk with Him.
Centuries later, Jesus fulfilled this pattern. In Matthew 26, before going to the cross, Jesus gathered His disciples. He broke bread. He shared the cup. He said, “This is My body. This is My blood.” He invited them into covenant communion.
Then He went to Gethsemane.
And He prayed.
And He prayed again.
And He prayed a third time.
Before the greatest act of obedience in history, Jesus entered deep communion with the Father. Presence prepared Him for sacrifice. Fellowship strengthened Him for surrender.
The same invitation stands for us today. Through Christ, the altar is no longer made of stone.
It is our hearts. The sacrifice is no longer animals. It is our time, our attention, and our devotion.
When we meet God morning and evening, we are entering living communion with Him. We receive His strength. We remember His sacrifice. We renew our covenant. We are filled again with His Spirit. But this requires dedication. It means choosing Him over comfort, over distraction, over busyness, over excuses.
We must asks ourselves:
How much do we love Him?
What are we willing to give?
How deeply do we want His presence?
God has already answered – He sent His Son. He poured out His Spirit. He made a way. He stands ready to meet us. He wants us.
The question is…Do we want Him? 💎
Action (5 Minutes with God)
Choose a specific time today—both morning and evening—to meet with God. Begin with just 5 Minutes to worship Him. Thank Jesus for being your Lamb, your Bread of Life, and your covenant Savior. Ask Him:
- “What do You want me to know about this today, Lord?”
- Journal what He whispers by His Holy Spirit.
- Then ask, “What do You want me to do?”
- Journal what He whispers – then do it!
Let this become a sacred daily rhythm of fellowship with Him. He will come. He will consecrate you, your time, and your home. He will speak. You will see Him.
Prayer
Father God, thank You for inviting me into daily communion with You. Thank You for Jesus—my sacrifice, my sustainer, and my covenant. I desire Your presence more than comfort, more than distraction, more than busyness. Teach me to meet with You faithfully. Consecrate my heart, my home, and my life by Your Spirit. Fill me again each morning and evening. I choose You today and every day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
