Valentine’s Covenant: God’s Love That Carries You

Today’s One Year Bible Verses: Exodus 37:1-38:31, Matthew 28:1-20, Psalm 34:11-22, Proverbs 9:9-10

The Ark That Carries Us

Have you ever noticed that the Ark of the Covenant was designed to be carried?

The Ark represented God’s presence among His people. It rested in the Holy of Holies, but when Israel moved, the Ark moved. It had rings on all four corners, with long poles inserted so it could be lifted and carried with them.

God never intended for His presence to stay in one place or to leave them.

According to Rabbi Shlomo Chaim Kesselman, the Ark—Aron Haberit—was the most sacred object in Israel. A golden box holding the Ten Commandments, it represented God’s covenant and His love for His people.

But here is something extraordinary: tradition teaches that when the priests carried the Ark, the Ark carried its carriers.

They weren’t carrying God.
God was carrying them.

Today, we are the temple. When Jesus died, the veil was torn. We now have full access to the Father through Him. And when this world shifts us, pressures us, moves us emotionally and spiritually, God has already made provision.

He gave us His Holy Spirit so we are never without His presence. But we have to pick Him up.

So, here’s the question:
Will we insert the poles?
Will we intentionally pick up the presence?
Will we carry Him into our work, our homes, our conversations, our chaos?

At first glance, that sounds heavy. Responsibility. Discipline. Devotion.

But listen to Jesus:

“Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest… For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” (Matthew 11:28–30)

And hear the Father’s heart:

“I have cared for you since you were born… I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you.” (Isaiah 46:3–4)

The Ark carried its carriers.

The Presence you carry is the Presence that carries you.

Jesus promised, “I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20).

You are not walking alone.
You are not bearing the weight alone.
You are not holding yourself together alone.

On this day Valentines Day, remember this:
God does not merely want to dwell near you. He wants to dwell within you—and carry you. His love is not fragile. It is not seasonal. It does not fade when you struggle. It is eternal covenant love. 💎❤️🔥

Action (5 Minutes with God)

Today, intentionally “insert the poles” by taking 5 minutes with God. Acknowledge His presence. Invite Him into whatever you are doing. Whisper, “Lord, I carry You—and You carry me.” then ask Him:

  • Lord, what do You want me to know about this today?”
    • Be sure to journal what He whispers or shows you through His Holy Spirit.
  • Then ask Him, “Lord, what do You want me to do?”
    • Journal what He whispers – then do it!

Let this Valentines Day be a day falling deeper in love with Jesus.

Prayer

Father, thank You that Your presence is not distant or fragile. Thank You that You dwell within me through Your Spirit. Teach me to carry You intentionally in every part of my life. When I feel weary or overwhelmed, remind me that You are carrying me. I choose to walk with You today. I choose to trust You. I choose Your presence.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
