5 Minutes with God

If you’ve got five minutes, the Lord has something to say. Each devotional is an invitation — a spark from His Word to stir your heart. But the true treasure is in the Action: five minutes you set aside to be with Him. It’s there, in His presence, that the Holy Spirit fills your lamp with oil, transforms your heart, and aligns your life with His. This is your daily time with the King — not just learning about Him, but knowing Him, walking with Him, and being made ready for the Bridegroom’s return.

Short. Simple. Powerful. And really — it’s only five minutes. Who doesn’t have five minutes for the King?

These short, Scripture-anchored devotionals coincide with the Tyndale One Year Bible. Each day is a devotional created from that specific day’s verses and they include at least one passage of scripture, one clear insight, one simple action, and a short prayer—so you can walk with Jesus each day, not just think about Him.

  • Light Drives Out The Darkness

Have you ever noticed that darkness doesn’t have to be invited? It seems to creep into our lives naturally. The problem is that darkness doesn’t need our permission to grow. It only needs us to stop intentionally filling ourselves with the Light. God reminded me of this in today’s Gem of Knowledge: “Darkness will consume…

  • Fight the Battle That Matters Most

When we hear the words spiritual warfare, one of two things often happens. Some people scoff at it as though it isn’t real, while others immediately picture dramatic battles between good and evil. The truth is, neither response gives us a complete biblical picture. Spiritual warfare is real, and it must be acknowledged if we expect…

  • Keep Fighting the Good Fight

Have you ever wondered if your faithfulness is making any difference? Sometimes it can feel like we’re fighting an uphill battle with very little to show for it. That is why today’s Gem is so encouraging. “Keep fighting the good fight. You never know who you might rescue along the way. Amen.” We may never…

  • Don’t Give Up

    Don’t Give Up

Discouragement has a way of quietly working its way into our hearts. It rarely announces itself all at once. But God reminds us in today’s Gem: “You will only be defeated if you give up on Me and doing what is right. Don’t give up. Amen.” If you’re feeling weary today, don’t mistake weariness for…

  • The Hardest Prayer You’ll Ever Pray

Praying for the hurting is one thing… Praying for those who have hurt us is something else entirely. Yet that’s exactly what Jesus calls us to do. today’s Gem: “Pray for your enemies. They may turn from their evil ways, and so may you.” Praying for our enemies may be one of the hardest things…

  • Who Will Pray for Them?

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that when the Lord continues repeating the same message, I need to stop and pay close attention. For the past seven devotionals, every Gem He has given me has pointed back to the same theme: caring for those who are hurting. Seven days. One message. I don’t…
