There Is Always More

Have you ever noticed that the more you truly get to know someone, the more there is to know?

At first, you know the obvious things about them. But as you spend more time together, they begin sharing their heart—their thoughts, stories, and things they may not share with everyone. The more time we spend with someone, the deeper the intimacy between us can become.

I believe our relationship with God can be like that too.

This morning He whispered to me this Gem of Knowledge,

“Keep seeking My heart. Keep seeking My presence, and you will have powerful encounters with Me. In fact, I will continue to give you more and more. This is My promise to anyone who believes in Me and chooses to draw near. Amen.”

I love that He said keep seeking. There is always more of God to discover.

It makes me think of James 4:8, “Come close to God, and God will come close to you.”

We can sometimes become satisfied with what we already know about God. We have our favorite Scriptures, the things He’s taught us, and the experiences we’ve already had with Him. But God is inviting us deeper. Yesterday’s revelation of who He is doesn’t have to be the end of what we know about Him.

Think about any close relationship. The longer you spend with someone, the more you begin to recognize things others may not notice. You know their expressions, what makes them laugh, what matters to them, and sometimes what they’re thinking before they ever say a word. Intimacy develops familiarity.

That’s what I hear in this Gem. God isn’t simply promising us more experiences. He’s inviting us to know more of Him. As we continue seeking His heart and spending time in His presence, we begin recognizing Him in ways we couldn’t before.

The important thing isn’t trying to manufacture an experience. It’s seeking Him.

God invites us to draw near. And as we continue seeking His heart—not merely His answers, blessings, or help—we begin to know Him more deeply. We become more familiar with His voice and recognize His presence more easily. We begin noticing His direction, correction, comfort, and activity in places we might have missed before.

Today’s reading in Galatians reminds us that this relationship begins with faith, not our ability to earn our way to Him. Paul asks, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit by obeying the law of Moses? Of course not! You received the Spirit because you believed the message you heard about Christ.” (Galatians 3:2 NLT)

We come believing, and then we keep drawing near.

That doesn’t mean every prayer will bring a dramatic supernatural experience. Seeking God isn’t about chasing experiences; it’s about pursuing relationship. The powerful encounters are His to give, however He chooses to give them.

The Gem doesn’t say, Seek powerful encounters.

It says, “Keep seeking My heart. Keep seeking My presence.”

The encounter isn’t the destination. He is.

So if you’ve already experienced His presence, don’t assume you’ve reached the end of what He has for you. If you’ve heard His voice before, keep listening. If He’s shown you something about Himself, treasure it—but keep asking Him to show you more.

There are depths of His heart you haven’t discovered yet.

Keep drawing near. He isn’t finished revealing Himself to you...there is always more! 💎

Action (5 Minutes with God)

Take time to be with the Lord today, even if its only 5 minutes. Ask Him:

• “Lord, what do You want me to know about this personally?”
  • Journal what He gives you through His Holy Spirit.
• Then ask, “What do You want me to do?”
  • Journal what He reveals – then do it!

Spend some intentional time seeking God Himself today rather than only bringing Him the things you need. Ask Him, “Lord, what do You want to show me about Your heart today?” Then give Him time to answer.

Prayer

Dear Father, I want to know You more. Teach me to seek Your heart and Your presence, not only what You can do for me. Help me recognize Your voice and become more aware of You in my everyday life. Draw me closer, and continue revealing more of Yourself to me as I draw near to You. I give You all the praise and glory. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
