Find New Life
The Lord placed this invitational gem on my heart to share today:
“Come to Me, all who are weary. Let Me breathe new life into you. Learn to hear Me, and I will show you the way.“
There are many people in the world today who are exhausted.
Weary from carrying fear.
Weary from trying to figure everything out.
Weary from fighting battles they were never meant to carry alone.
But God’s invitation has never changed:
Come to Him.
When we come to the Lord, He does more than comfort us—He teaches us to hear Him and shows us the way forward.
In today’s reading we see two men who both faced a moment where they could have turned to God: Balaam and King Balak.
Balaam had something many people long for—he could hear the voice of God. Yet hearing God is not the same as obeying Him.
God had already made His will clear to Balaam, but Balaam kept asking, hoping God might change His mind to match what he wanted. His heart was divided. He knew the truth but still tried to pursue his own path.
What good is hearing from God if we refuse to follow His instruction?
God does not speak simply to inform us—He speaks to guide us.
Balak, on the other hand, was overwhelmed by fear. He saw the Israelites and became convinced they would destroy him. His fear grew so strong that it led him to seek harm against people who had done nothing to him.
Fear has a way of doing that.
When we carry fear long enough, it can turn into suspicion, anger, or even a desire to destroy what we do not understand.
Instead of seeking God for himself, Balak tried to rely on someone else to hear from God for him. But if he had taken the time to seek the Lord personally, the story might have looked very different.
He could have brought his fears honestly before God and asked:
“What do You want me to know about this?”
“What should I do?”
The Lord delights in answering those who seek Him.
Instead of darkness and destruction, God would have given light and direction.
And that same invitation is still extended to us today.
When we are weary, fearful, or confused, God does not push us away.
He calls us closer.
Come to Him.
Let Him breathe new life into your spirit.
Learn to hear His voice and follow His ways.
When we do, the path forward becomes clear. 💎
Action (5 Minutes with God)
Take 5 minutes today to be with the Lord today. Lay your burdens at His feet and ask Him:
- “Lord, what do You want me to know about this today?”
- Always journal what you receive from the Holy Spirit, so it can never be changed, twisted, misunderstood and you can always have it to reflect back on when needed.
- Then ask Him, “Lord, what do You want me to do?”
- Write it down – then do it!
Let Him speak to you today, breath new life in to you, and give you guidance for good and understanding.
Prayer
Lord, when my heart grows weary or fearful, remind me to come to You first. Teach me to hear Your voice more clearly and give me the humility to follow what You say. Breathe new life into my spirit and guide my steps in Your truth. I thank You and praise you in Jesus’ name, amen.
