Today’s One Year Bible Verses: 2 Samuel 22:1–23:23, Acts 2:1–47, Psalm 122:1–9, Proverbs 16:19–20
Loved Fully by God
Yesterday I was asked to preach online to a group of women in Pakistan. As I prayed about them beforehand and asked the Lord what He wanted me to say, I was filled with an overwhelming love for these women. And so simply, the Lord whispered one word to my heart:
“Relationship.”
Later, when I was live with them and the screen slowly panned across the room filled with faithful Pakistani women secretly gathered together to worship Jesus, the love of God burst through my heart so powerfully that I was moved to tears. Women across the world. Women living very differently than I do. Women I had never personally known. Yet in that moment, I loved them deeply.
And honestly, I do not think I will ever forget that feeling.
It did not feel human – It felt holy.
It felt like for a brief moment the Lord allowed me to experience just a tiny glimpse of how deeply He loves His people.
So this morning, when the Holy Spirit whispered this Gem of Knowledge to me, it immediately made sense:
“Blessed are the ones who love Me. I will continue to pour out My endless and unfailing love upon them. Amen.”
As I sat quietly reflecting on yesterday, I realized something beautiful: God does not merely want us to know about His love intellectually. He wants us to experience it relationally.
He wants to be intimate with us.
He wants us to see and know Him.
He wants to pour out His love upon us.
When you truly love someone, you desire to be near them. You think about them. You long to know their heart. You care about what matters to them. And suddenly Psalm 122 felt incredibly personal:
“I was glad when they said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the Lord.’” (NLT)
Love changes obligation into desire.
And as I continued through today’s readings, I was struck again by David’s words in 2 Samuel 22. After years of battles, failures, dangers, betrayals, and deliverances, David still speaks about God with such affection and gratitude. You can almost feel the depth of relationship between them.
David knew what it was to fail… He knew weakness… He knew fear.
Yet he also knew the faithfulness of God’s love.
And then in Acts 2, we see the Holy Spirit poured out freely upon hungry hearts. Thousands of people gathering, searching, longing, and suddenly encountering the living presence of God.
Honestly, I think every human heart is searching for what only God can fully give — unfailing love that remains steady even through weakness, distance, struggle, or failure.
Human love can sometimes fail us.
People leave.
People disappoint us.
People become distracted.
People grow cold.
But God’s love never runs dry the way human love often can.
And perhaps one of the greatest blessings we can experience is realizing that the Lord truly desires relationship with us — not shallow religion, but deep communion filled with His endless and unfailing love. 💎
Action (5 Minutes with God)
Seek intimacy with the Lord today by spending at least 5 minutes with Him. Ask Him:
- “Lord, what do You want me to know about this?”
- Journal what He gives you by His Holy Spirit.
- Then ask, “What do You want me to do?”
- Journal what He gives you – then do it!
Spend some quiet time today simply receiving God’s love. Let yourself rest in His presence and thank Him for the ways He has remained faithful throughout your life.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for loving me with an endless and unfailing love. Thank You for remaining faithful even in my weakness, fear, failure, and uncertainty. Help me not to project human disappointment onto You, but to trust fully in the goodness of Your heart toward me. Teach me to love You deeply, not out of obligation, but because my heart truly desires to be near You. Pour out Your love, peace, and presence over my life today. Let me rest securely in the truth that Your love never runs dry. In Jesus’ name, amen.
