Partner With God

Have you ever had an idea that seemed so big you immediately talked yourself out of it? Maybe you thought, “I’m not qualified,” or “Someone else could do it better,” or perhaps, “It’s probably impossible anyway.” How many dreams, ministries, conversations, and acts of obedience have died before they ever had the chance to live simply because we convinced ourselves they couldn’t happen?

Over the past several days, the Lord has been teaching me that He will never leave me, that nothing is too great to ask when my heart is aligned with His, that there is far more happening than I can see, and that becoming more like Him is a lifelong process of learning and growing.

Then, almost as if He were bringing all of those lessons together, He simply asked,

“Nothing is impossible with Me. So what do you want? Let’s make it happen together.”

The more I thought about those words, the more I realized He wasn’t inviting me to chase my own ambitions. He was inviting me to dream alongside Him.

Notice He didn’t say, “Go make it happen,” or, “I’ll do it all for you.” He said, “Let’s make it happen together.”

That one word—together—changes everything.

God has never intended for us to build His Kingdom alone.

In today’s reading, Ezra understood that truth. Before leading hundreds of people across dangerous territory with silver, gold, and sacred articles for the Temple, he didn’t rely on his own ability. He proclaimed a fast and sought the Lord’s guidance and protection. Then, after seeking God, they packed up and started walking. God provided everything they needed, but Ezra and the people still had to take the journey.

Paul echoes that same principle in 1 Corinthians. As God’s people, we’re called to live differently because we belong to Him. Following Jesus isn’t passive. It requires daily choices, courage, obedience, and a willingness to cooperate with what God is doing in and through us.

Throughout Scripture we see this pattern over and over again. Noah built the ark. Moses lifted the staff. David picked up the stone. The servants filled the water jars. In every case, God performed the miracle, but He invited His people to participate in what He was doing.

He certainly doesn’t need our help, but He desires our partnership. There is something deeply beautiful about accomplishing God’s purposes with Him instead of merely asking Him to do everything for us.

Maybe there’s something God has placed on your heart that feels impossible. Perhaps it’s a ministry, a difficult conversation you’ve been avoiding, a dream that seems far beyond your abilities, or a step of obedience you’ve been putting off because you’re waiting until you feel ready.

Friend, He wants to partner with you.

Perhaps the question isn’t whether it’s possible – Perhaps the better question is whether you’re willing to take the first step while holding His hand.

Because nothing is impossible with Him.

Jesus Himself said,

“Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.” (Matthew 19:26, NLT)

The One who called you is already standing beside you, smiling and saying,

“Let’s make it happen together.” 💎

Action (5 Minutes with God)

Take at least 5 minutes to be with the Lord today. Ask Him:

• “Lord, what do You want me to know about this personally?”
  • Journal what He gives you through His Holy Spirit.
• Then ask, “What do You want me to do?”
  • Journal what He reveals – then do it!

If you seek Him you will find Him and He will show you that you can trust him and that He will meet you as you move forward with Him.

Prayer

Beloved Father, thank You for inviting me to partner with You instead of trying to do life on my own. Forgive me for allowing fear, doubt, or feelings of inadequacy to keep me from stepping into what You’ve called me to do. Show me what You’re asking me to build with You, and give me the courage to take the next step. I believe that nothing is impossible with You, and I trust You to lead me every step of the way. Thank You for giving your Son to make it all possible. In Jesus’ beautiful name I pray, amen.
