The Power of Willing Alignment with God

Walking In His Steps

There is a difference between wanting more… and actually stepping into it.

We often desire God’s power, His presence, His mercy, and His grace to move in our lives in greater ways. But there is a truth we cannot ignore—if we want to walk in what is exceptional, we cannot live passively, and the Lord reminds us of this in today’s Gem of Knowledge:

“Exceptional things come when exceptional actions are taken. Compliance is not an order, it is a requirement. Never by force, but by love, submission, and understanding, just as I do with the Father. It is power given and shared, your mercy and grace, by my hand. Amen.”

We cannot do nothing and expect everything.

In Judges 8 and 9, we see what happens when actions are no longer aligned with God. What began as obedience through Gideon slowly shifted into self-reliance, and the result was disorder and destruction. The actions may have still been there, but the alignment was gone – and all power was gone with it.

Then we look at Jesus.

In Luke 23, as He hangs on the cross, we see the ultimate example of what it means to walk in full alignment with the Father. No one forced Him to remain there. He chose it. Not out of obligation, but out of love, submission, and complete understanding of the Father’s will.

And because of that willing obedience, something exceptional was released—redemption, salvation, full access to the Father.

In Luke 24, we see the result—resurrection power.

This is the pattern.

Exceptional things come when exceptional actions are taken—not actions driven by striving, but actions rooted in alignment with God. It is not about doing more for the sake of doing more. It is about spending time with Him, responding when He calls, stepping when He leads, and yielding when He prompts you.

Psalm 99 reminds us that the Lord reigns in power and holiness. His authority is unmatched, yet He invites us into relationship with Him. Not to control us, but to bring us into alignment where His power can flow through us.

Proverbs 14 tells us that wisdom recognizes truth and responds to it. It doesn’t ignore it or delay—it moves.

This is where many people miss it.

We want God to move, but we hesitate to move ourselves. We want His power, but resist the process that positions us to receive it.

His power, mercy, and grace are not random—they are given and shared through a life that is aligned with Him.

When you choose to move with Him, to act when He speaks, to walk in love and submission as Jesus did with the Father, you step into a place where heaven meets earth and mountains are moved.

Not because you earned it.

But because you aligned with Him. 💎

Action (5 Minutes with God)

Take at least 5 minutes to be with the Lord today. Ask Him:

  • Lord, what do You want me to know about this today?”
    • Journal what He reveals to you.
  • Then ask, “What do You want me to do?”
    • Journal what He whispers – then do it!

Take time today to realign with the Lord and allow Him to fill you and move you.

Prayer

Father,
I don’t want to sit back and expect You to move while I remain still. Teach me to respond when You call, to move when You lead, and to walk in alignment with You. Help me to understand that what You offer—Your power, mercy, and grace—is given as I walk with You, not apart from You. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
