Activated by the Holy Spirit

Today’s One Year Bible Verses: Judges 9:22-10:18, Luke 24:13-53, Psalm 100:1-5, Proverbs 14:11-12

It’s Already In You

There’s a quiet lie many believers carry: I’m not enough.

Not ready enough.
Not strong enough.
Not spiritual enough.

And without even realizing it, we begin to live from that place—holding back, hesitating, questioning what God could really do through us.

But that’s not what God says in today’s Gem of Knowledge:

“Stop thinking you are not enough. You hold the power of the heavens within you. If only you would allow Me to help you find it. I have already put it in you. Let Me activate it by My Holy Spirit. Amen.”

In Luke 24, after the resurrection, two disciples are walking on the road to Emmaus, discouraged and confused about everything that has just happened. Jesus comes alongside them, but they don’t recognize Him. As they walk, He begins to explain the Scriptures—showing them how everything that happened was part of God’s plan.

Later they say,
“Didn’t our hearts burn within us as he talked with us on the road and explained the Scriptures to us?” (Luke 24:32, NLT)

That matters.

Because nothing new was placed inside of them in that moment—understanding was revealed. What was already true became clear. What was already there was awakened.

That’s what the Holy Spirit does.

He doesn’t come to give you something you could never have—He comes to awaken what God has already placed within you. To illuminate truth. To activate faith. To bring to life what has been lying dormant.

Psalm 100 reminds us who we are:
“Acknowledge that the Lord is God! He made us, and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture.” (Psalm 100:3, NLT)

You are not random.
You are not lacking.
You were created by Him, for Him, and filled with purpose.
His Holy Spirit is the power of heaven within you.

Proverbs 14 gives a warning that ties into this:
“There is a path before each person that seems right, but it ends in death.” (Proverbs 14:12, NLT)

When we believe the lie that we are not enough, we begin to follow our own understanding instead of His truth. We shrink back instead of stepping forward. We rely on what we think we lack instead of trusting what He has already given.

But God is not asking you to manufacture something new.

He is asking you to allow Him to activate what is already there.

His Spirit brings clarity where there was confusion.
Boldness where there was hesitation.
Life where something felt dormant.

You don’t need to strive to become enough.

You need to let Him show you what He has already placed within you.

And when that truth takes root, something shifts.

You stop holding back.
You start walking forward.
Not in your own strength—but in what He has awakened in you.

Let Him activate the power of heaven in you as you allow His Holy Spirit to move within you. 💎

Action (5 Minutes with God)

Take 5 minutes to be with the Lord. Ask Him to reveal what He has already placed within you that you’ve been overlooking or doubting. Ask Him:

  • What lie have I been believing?”
    • Write down what He reveals to you.
  • Then ask, “What do you want me to know?”
    • Write down what He reveals to you.
  • Finally, ask Him, “What do You want me to do?”
    • Write down what He reveals – then do it!

Take a step forward in faith—trusting that He will meet you there and continue the work He has already begun.

Prayer

Father,
Forgive me for believing that I am not enough. Help me to see myself through Your truth, not my own doubts. Reveal what You have already placed within me, and awaken it by Your Holy Spirit. Give me the courage to step forward in faith, trusting that You will lead and sustain me. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
